Early Childhood (Birth to 5) Programs

SHORE UP! Inc. offers several programs that address the needs of pregnant women, children ages birth to 5, and the parents of these children.  Some programs provide services to pregnant women and children ages birth to 3, while others provide services to children ages 3 to 5. Families with children with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Customers served, and the services/programs offered to them are as follows:

CHILDREN AGES BIRTH TO 5:

  • Head Start

PARENTS* AND PREGNANT WOMEN

Family services provided by Wicomico Family Support, Early Head Start and Head Start:

Parenting classes Parental involvement (male involvement especially encouraged) in child’s education, including volunteer opportunities Social and recreational events and activities to help family bonding Home visits by SHORE UP! staff to assist with family needs For pregnant women, including teens (Wicomico Family Support and Early Head Start) Prenatal education Nutritional services Assistance in obtaining comprehensive prenatal Instruction in care and development of infants
