SHORE UP! Inc. manages various programs to assist eligible low to moderate income households to lower their energy costs. Customer information is typically referred to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) for programs that can provide improvement and repairs to homes at no cost. The program increases the energy efficiency of homes by stopping heat loss and making heating systems more efficient. Although primarily geared to homeowners, these programs may also be available for eligible renters. Included in the services provided are:
- Reduction of energy costs
- Elimination of heating loss
- Improving the efficiency of home heating systems
- Energy audits to determine the need for weatherization such as caulking, insulation, installation of windows and doors, furnace replacement, and/or retrofit
- Home improvements and repairs completed at no cost to homeowner
