Through partnership with local community colleges and employers, SHORE UP! Inc. offers skills training in fields such as Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). (The availability of a certain skills training component will depend on the partnerships that we have established through the community as well as the location of the interest).
The participant is provided with the opportunity to sit through instruction, gaining resources for success both at SHORE UP! Inc., as well as with the partnering agency or organization. If applicable, certification will be offered at the successful completion of the training, along with job placement supports. Participants may also increase their knowledge in the subject/skill area of their choice, obtaining the necessary field experience to be marketable in securing long-term employment.
