SHORE UP! Inc. has announced the appointment of Keith E. Davis to serve as Human Resources director for the Community Action Agency. A native of Washington, D.C., Davis is a 20-year veteran in the field, with over 15 years of that experience gained within mission driven, community based organizations in the non-profit sector.
The nation’s capital is where Davis’ career commenced, working as a Human Resources generalist and then advancing to Human Resources director for the American Red Cross. Most recently, Davis managed all facets of Human Resources for an estimated staff of 800 at St. John’s Community Services, a non-profit organization located in Washington, D.C. As Human Resources manager, total compensation, staff recruitment, onboarding and employee relations were under his purview.
SHORE UP!’s latest administrator also served two stints as Human Resources director and interim Human Resources director respectively for Second Genesis, Inc. located in Silver Spring, Maryland. The organization’s current focus is on substance abuse research.
With family who currently reside in North Carolina, Davis also ventured to the Tar Heel State where he worked two years as Human Resources manager for Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation in Charlotte, N.C.

Mitchell. “His many years of experience within Human Resources, particularly in the non-profit arena, will be valuable to the agency’s over 300 employees and to the many communities that we serve.”
Davis earned a Master of Science degree in Administration from Trinity Washington University in Washington, DC. He acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from St. Augustine’s University located in Raleigh, N.C.
