In an effort to protect clients, staff and students from Coronavirus, and to prevent further spread of the illness, SHORE UP! Inc. has implemented new measures that will take effect immediately.
SHORE UP!’s Head Start and Early Head Start centers will follow the directive provided by Governor Larry Hogan. Centers, servicing seven counties in the Maryland area, are currently closed for a Professional Day. Centers will remain closed, for students only, through March 27. During the absence of students, all 13 of the agency’s Head Start facilities will be deep cleaned, including the playground areas.
Shady Pines Adult Medical Day Care is now closed.
SHORE UP!’s offices will remain open for employees and customers. However, the agency will only accept applications. Counseling visits, interviews and other inquiries will be handled via phone. The Energy Services Department will briefly screen applications. Starting March 14, appointments will no longer be scheduled for the Free Tax Preparation Program. Eligible individuals may drop off their tax information to SHORE UP!’s central office located at 520 Snow Hill Rd. in Salisbury, Md.
